Senior Account Executive

We are looking for an experienced account executive looking for the next step in their career to work out of our Northampton office. This role will suit a skilled copywriter who is also interested in maximising the reach of their content via social media and email marketing. 

The Agency

At Ridgemount we LOVE buildings. We think that the construction sector, responsible for our homes, cities, infrastructure and workplaces, makes an enormous contribution to the quality of every one of our lives. We are not apologetic about this, and all of us share an interest in and a passion for the built environment.

That’s the industry we’re in. We talk about products and we represent manufacturers, but we also talk about the impact of our buildings on the environment, on our economic success and the welfare of our population. There are big themes to consider and everyone who works for Ridgemount needs to be interested in how this complex and multi-dimensional industry works.  

As an agency we are developing fast. With our roots in media relations, our reputation is based on being the best content-writers in our field. Over the last two years we have expanded rapidly from media relations and now we focus much more on digital techniques to get our content into the hands of the right people. SEO-rich content for websites; content for social media distribution; PPC and paid social; video and graphics; webinars and virtual presentations – these are our growth areas.

And we’re doing it pretty well too. You will find that we are currently number one in the agency league table of construction marketing agencies with multiple category wins in the Construction Marketing Awards each year.

What we’re looking for

A confident, curious and ambitious account executive who really wants to get stuck into their clients’ business, understanding their markets and their customers as well as getting to grips with the products.

You will LOVE to write. We write loads. Magazine features, opinion pieces, blogs, website copyand social media content. Scripts for videos, content for podcasts, case studies that resonate and sales copy that persuades. You’ll be happy to research your subject and comfortable with interviewing people to get the story.  You’ll understand how to tailor your style to appeal to different audiences and you’ll enjoy getting under the skin of your clients to really make the most of what they have to say.

Strong writing skills are the starting point, but that’s not all there is to providing an all-round service to clients. You’ll be organising photo shoots, managing content calendars and working with the digital specialists to plan and measure social media campaigns. Newsletters, email marketing and advertising programmes will all be part of the job – and be prepared to don the PPE and appear on site to support the video team too.

It’s all part of a varied role – don’t expect any two days to be the same.  We’re quite a small team so the opportunities to get involved with a wide range of projects, from video production to digital advertising, is huge. Enthusiasm is everything.
